Call for Applications
- Support for Technology Transfer & IP Filing in the field of Biotechnology and allied sectors
- The Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission (GSBTM) in partnership with Biotech Consortium India Ltd. (BCIL) invites applications from innovators in Gujarat for support in commercialization of potential technology and protection of promising research outcomes
through IPR.
- This initiative is implemented under a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with BCIL and is fully funded by GSBTM.
What Support will BCIL provide under this initiative?
BCIL will offer end-to-end professional support in the following key areas:
- Technology Transfer & Commercialization
- Assessment of technology for market and industry potential
- Identification of suitable industry partners / licensees
- Technology valuation and structuring of licensing terms
- Preparation and execution of required agreements (Non-Disclosure Agreement, Material Transfer Agreement, Licence Agreement)
- Support during post-transfer monitoring and troubleshooting
- Facilitation of royalty collection after commercialisation
- Intellectual Property (IP) Management
- Prior art search and patentability assessment
- Filing of Indian and international patents
- Timely handling of patent prosecution and office actions
- Support for design and copyright filings
Who Can Apply
- Innovators with technologies developed in the State of Gujarat and having high commercial potential
- Innovators belonging to or currently working in Gujarat and holding IPR related to the technology
- No age bar
- Researchers, academicians, and scientists from universities, colleges, and R&D institutions located in Gujarat
